Stroke and Stroke Sequel Management – TCM Perspective for Health and Wellness Practitioners

According to recent statistics, Singapore witnesses an alarming average of 26 new stroke cases per day and 3.65 percent of the resident population has had a stroke in the past. Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability – 63 percent of stroke patients have some disability at three months. It is the fourth most common cause of death, accounting for more than 10 percent of all deaths.

Stroke is a debilitating condition that requires specialized and comprehensive rehabilitation interventions to improve the quality of life for affected individuals.  This course will allow practitioner to have a systematic understanding the background of Stroke, through Identification of the common factor leading to stroke and understand TCM approaches in prevention using techniques perfected through generation of practitioners.

Course objectives:

This course will let the participants know the etiology and pathogenesis of Stroke, Understand the different TCM management approaches in the area of prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery management. Learn approaches such as the use of TCM Acupressure Massage, Medicated Diets and the practice of dynamic breathing techniques suitable for Stroke Rehabilitation and Sequel.

  4. Understand prevention and management of Strokes from TCM perspective

    3. Dynamic Breathe Techniques
